A Message from Aled
One of my favourite jobs each year is planning our concert tour. It’s also, without doubt, one of the most challenging!
People often ask how we decide where we’ll perform, but there’s far more to it than simply choosing a list of venues. Every tour is like a giant jigsaw puzzle. We have to balance theatre and cathedral availability (and there are only so many Saturdays in a year!), travelling distances, the lads’ work and family commitments, school holidays, bank holidays and making sure we’re performing in different parts of the UK. Finding dates that work for everyone while securing some of the country’s busiest venues can be a real headache… but it’s also one of the most enjoyable parts of my job.
Once the dates are in place, the real work begins.
Every concert takes months of planning. Posters and brochures have to be designed, ticket links created, seating plans carefully mapped out and publicity organised. For every new venue, I even draw the seating plan from scratch so we can make sure every seat offers the best possible experience and value for our audiences.
We recently had a brand-new photoshoot in a rather unusual location… Rhos Mountain! It may not sound the most glamorous place for a photoshoot, but standing there overlooking the beautiful North Wales countryside reminded us just how proud we are of our roots. Wherever Johns’ Boys performs, we’ll always take a little piece of Wales with us.

It’s an enormous amount of work behind the scenes, but the moment the lights go down, the choir walks on stage and the music begins, every bit of planning is worthwhile.
I’m delighted to finally share our 2027 Tour with you.
Next year promises to be one of our most exciting yet. For the first time, we’ll be performing at Liverpool Cathedral, Wells Cathedral, Worcester Cathedral, Huddersfield Town Hall and the magnificent Royal Hall, Harrogate. We’re also incredibly excited to be making our long-awaited London debut at the beautiful Union Chapel.
With more concerts than ever before, this will be our biggest tour to date, and we can’t wait to share another unforgettable year of music with audiences across the UK.
