How long have you been a member of Johns’ Boys?
Since the very beginning.
What inspired you to join the choir?
An invitation from Aled. His musical talent and leadership are second to none – it was an easy “yes”!
Do you have any musical background or experience before joining?
Nothing formal, but I’ve been singing in choirs since I was 12.
What’s your favourite song to perform with the choir and why?
Amazing Love – it’s my all-time favourite. Powerful, emotional, and just a joy to sing.
What has been the most memorable performance or event for you?
Winning Choir of the World in Llangollen – an unforgettable experience.
How would you describe the camaraderie within the choir?
It’s amazing – full of fun and genuine friendship, with a brilliant mix of ages and personalities.
What’s the biggest challenge of being in a choir like Johns’ Boys?
Trying to keep up with the younger lads!
Do you have a pre-performance ritual or superstition?
I always check, double-check, and triple-check that I’ve packed my tux 🤵!
If you could perform anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Honestly, I just love performing – the venue doesn’t matter as much as the joy of singing.
What are you most excited about for the choir’s future?
New challenges, unknown adventures, and more of the same magic we’ve already experienced.
How has being part of Johns’ Boys impacted you personally?
Let’s just say… I never thought I’d end up dancing on stage. I’m still recovering from the shock!
What advice would you give to someone thinking about joining a choir?
Don’t even hesitate – you absolutely won’t regret it.
